Senior copywriter
According to my late mother, I held my first pen at the tender age of five months and rather than let me desecrate the walls with eligible scrawl, she trained me to copy the alphabet on unrolled lining paper. Within months, I’d mastered letters and was forming sentences. By the age of two, I’d copied J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit‘ word-for-word, including Tolkien’s somewhat dated bio on the inner sleeve, where, incidentally, he was still listed as the sitting professor at Merton College, Oxford.
But why The Hobbit? Well, why not?
Is that true? It might be. The point is, I’ve been writing for a long time, and not always about dragons and little people with furry feet.
Now operating as a Senior Copywriter, it’s generally required of one in such a position to have a body of past work that demonstrates a) the ability to write, and b) the ability to convince. N.B. Two attributes John Ronald Reuel Tolkien had in bucket loads.
So, here’s the portfolio – aptly named ‘Frank Content’ – my freelancing arm.
